Allandale Woods Cleanup

Urban Wilds is celebrating National Trails Day by partnering with People Making a Difference for a volunteer day at Allandale Woods on Saturday, June 6th.

June 6, 2026

In honor of National Trails Day, team up with the Parks Department and People Making a Difference to improve the paths at Allandale Woods. This event will focus on managing erosion, improving water drainage along sloped trail sections, and reinforcing trail edges, all with the goal of making this Urban Wild more accessible, ecologically healthy, and resilient.

No prior experience is required. PMD and Boston Parks staff will provide instructions, work gloves, and hand tools.

Optional: Sign up for the rain postponement shift, 1:30-4:30pm in case the forecast is for a deluge in the morning.

These meet-ups build hands-on skills, confidence, community, and a culture of reuse and repair; they are family-friendly and open to all.
