WEBINAR: Clean Energy Tax Incentives for BERDO Building Owners

The City of Boston’s Environment Department and the Internal Revenue Service invite you to attend a webinar about the tax incentives that can help BERDO building owners fund clean energy upgrades in their buildings.

October 2, 2024
2024-10-02T12:00:00 - 2024-10-02T13:00:00

BERDO sets requirements for large existing buildings in Boston to reduce their greenhouse gas emissions over time. The Inflation Reduction Act of 2022 (“IRA”) makes several clean energy tax credits available to businesses and building owners.

This event will:

  • Provide an overview of tax incentives available to BERDO building owners including tax deductions and tax credits
  • Review the specific clean energy tax credits that BERDO building owners may be eligible for
  • Discuss how the “direct pay” or “elective pay” provisions of the IRA help tax-exempt entities such as non-profits access clean energy tax credits
  • Highlight informational resources available through Boston’s Retrofit Resource Hub
  • Provide attendees with an opportunity to ask questions about tax incentives

This event will be held virtually over Zoom on Wednesday, October 2 from 12:00 to 1:00 p.m., including a time dedicated to Q&A.

Notice of Accommodations: Interpretation, translation, and disability accommodation services are available to you at no cost. If you need them, please contact us at energyreporting@boston.gov  or at 617-635-3850 x5.
