The bookstore will feature the work of Boston-based authors who focus on the work of cities, policy, and politics across a range of issues and themes. 

The bookstore, being hosted in partnership with Trident Booksellers & Cafe, will be open through the duration of the U.S. Conference of Mayors in Boston (June 8-11). You can find the pop-up past the interior walking bridge from the Marriott into Copley Place (Level One). 

In addition, the bookstore will host cultural activations and author talks, including:

• Sunday, June 10: Karilyn Crockett, author of "People Before Highways: Boston Activists, Urban Planners, and a New Movement for City Making."
• Sunday, June 10 - 4:30 p.m.: Mark Pasnik, author of "Heroic: Concrete Architecture and the New Boston"

The pop-up bookstore is a part of a series of public activations and celebratory events being offered as the United States Conference of Mayors (USCM) Annual Meeting is hosted in Boston.

Created in honor of Latin music icon Tito Puente, this series celebrates 15 years of bringing live Latin music with a strong salsa influence to Boston parks. The series is sponsored in part by:

• Berklee College of Music, and
• Inquilinos Boricuas en Accion.

Ruggles Street will be redesigned this year to improve access and safety for everyone using it. The street design will support other work in the area, including the Whittier Choice Neighborhood Initiative, park design, and opportunities for new public art. 

At this meeting, the City will share initial design options with the community for review and feedback.  

Join Mayor Martin J. Walsh as he officially dedicates the Marcella Playground Tot Lot to the memory of Samantha "Sam" Sadd.

The Mayor's Youth Council, Youth Lead the Change, Civic Engagement, and Workforce and Economic Development Committees invite local youth to Vote Fest.

The event features Youth Lead the Change voting, voter pre-registration, performances, raffles, and free food.

The Public Health and Safety Committee for the Mayor's Youth Council invites high school youth to come by BCYF Tobin Community Center. Cheer on your classmates as they play friendly games of basketball against Boston Police officers from Dorchester, Mattapan, and Roxbury.

There will be food, raffle prizes, voting for Youth Lead the Change, and more. Support for the event is provided by Northeastern University and Youth In Crisis.

Fun Stops are an affordable, flexible option for parents who are looking for a summer activity for their child for a couple hours a day.
