The BCYF Spelling Bee recognizes the hard work of talented students from participating schools. They'll be competing for the chance to represent Boston at the Scripps National Spelling Bee.

This the third public meeting for the JP/Rox Transportation Action Plan. What improvements for the Washington Street and Columbus Avenue Corridor would be most important to you? The team has compiled:

• existing conditions
• public feedback
• previous planning recommendations, and
• best practices into a list of action items.

The presentation will cover future conditions and progress on priority projects. You will be able to provide input on what potential projects you’d prefer.

Boston Centers for Youth & Families (BCYF) hosts Girls Nights, a series of free girls-only events throughout the summer.  All activities are designed to bring girls together in a safe, non-competitive environment where they can be themselves, meet other girls their age, and engage with role models.  BCYF Girls Nights also connect girls with resources and opportunities while they enjoy a positive and fun experience with their peers. Last summer, more than 1,700 girls participated in BCYF’s Girls Nights.

We are working on design plans that will slow drivers to 20 mph. At this speed, streets will feel safer and more comfortable for people who live, walk, bike, or play in the neighborhood.
