Our department directs all municipal, state, and federal elections within Boston. As part of our work, we also register voters, conduct an annual census, and educate the public on voting.

- Voter Registration Deadline: October 26, 2024
- In-Person at City Hall, Room 241 by 5 p.m.
- Online by 11:59 p.m.
- Mail postmarked by October 26
- Check your voter registration status, sample ballot, and view ballot questions
- Early Voting Timeline: Saturday, October 19, through Friday, November 1, 2024
- Vote-by-mail Application Deadline: October 29, 2024

Early voting for the State Election on November 5 will take place from Saturday, October 19, through Friday, November 1.
