Message and order for a supplemental appropriation in the amount of Two Million Dollars ($2,000,000.00). This funding became available as a result of an unanticipated payment during the FY18 to the City of Boston through the transfer of the Old City Hall leases. The funding will be used to allow the Boston Centers for Youth and Families to enter into a grant agreement with Urban Edge, a community-based non-profit, to assist in their efforts to bring a new youth recreation center, which will include an ice skating rink and field house, to Jackson Square.

Message and order approving an increase in the Senior Citizen Property Tax Work-Off credit amount from One Thousand Dollars ($1,000.00) per fiscal year to a maximum of One Thousand Five Hundred Dollars ($1,500.00) per fiscal year, effective Fiscal Year 2019. By increasing the credit amount, the City will be able to offer participating seniors that maximum allowable credit pursuant to Section 5K of c.59 of the Massachusetts General Laws, as most recently amended by Section 127 of Chapter 218 of the Acts of 2016.
