290 North Beacon Street Public Meeting
The Mayor's Office of Arts and Culture and Boston Housing Authority will hold a public meeting about 290 North Beacon Street on July 23 from 6:30 - 8 p.m.
This is a meeting led by the Mayor’s Office of Arts and Culture (MOAC) and the Boston Housing Authority (BHA). This meeting is regarding the future of the property located at 290 North Beacon Street. In 2023, it was announced that the City would be the recipient of the property as a result of development project impact mitigation for the project located at 155 North Beacon Street. Earlier in 2024, the City of Boston received approval to accept the 290 North Beacon property in order to benefit the arts and culture community and to help address the need for more affordable housing in the Brighton neighborhood.
Attendees of this meeting can expect to learn about the history of the City’s acquisition of the site as well as a high-level overview of the partnership between MOAC and BHA for the redevelopment of the site into artist studio spaces and affordable housing. This is also an opportunity for the City to learn more about the community priorities for this project and for residents to influence aspects of the project and public process.
No final decisions will be made in this meeting.
