City Council Committee on Education Hearing on Docket #0381

Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($500,000.00) in the form of a grant, for the Open Data Curriculum, awarded by the MA Department of Education to be administered by the Department of Innovation and Technology. The grant will fund the development of a curriculum that can be used by teachers in the Boston Public Schools, as well as other educational providers that leverage existing open data from the City, State, and Federal government.

This matter was sponsored by Mayor Michelle Wu, and referred to the Committee on February 28, 2024.

NOTICE:  The Boston City Council may have a quorum in attendance due to standing committees of the City Council consisting of both voting and non-voting members. However, members attending this duly posted meeting are participating and deliberating only in conjunction with the business of the standing committee.
