    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Million Six Hundred Thirty-Three Thousand Hundred Dollars ($1,633,500.00)in the form of a grant, for the Resilient Moakley Connectors, awarded by the Federal Emergency Management Agency, passed through the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency, to be administered by the Environment Department. This grant will fund pre-construction planning and design activities in the northern and southern areas adjacent to Moakley Park, located along the waterfront of Dorchester and South Boston neighborhoods.  The project is separate but complementary to the flood mitigation project within Moakley Park.

  2. Docket #0117

    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expand the amount Eighty Hundred Seventy Thousand Dollars ($870,000.00) in the form of a grant, for Climate Resilience, awarded by the Barr Foundation to be administered by the Environment  Department. The grant will fund the continued implementation of Climate Ready Boston initiatives. This includes advancing coastal resilience and heat resilience strategies, prioritizing strategies, prioritizing equitable electrification and creating a community tree care program.   

    This matter was sponsored by Mayor Michelle Wu and referred to the Committee on January 11, 2023.
