City Council Meeting

All weekly City Council meetings are held at 12 p.m. (noon) in the Christopher A. Iannella Chamber on the fifth floor of Boston City Hall, unless otherwise noted.

All meetings are open to the public and are also available on Xfinity Channel 8, RCN 82, Fios 964, and livestream via City Council TV.

    COMMUNICATIONS FROM HER HONOR, THE MAYOR:

        1434    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Four Million One Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Dollars, ($4,125,000.00) in the form of a grant, for the FY24 Public Safety Answering Point Support and Incentive Grant, awarded by the MA Executive Office of Public Safety & Security to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund costs associated with providing Enhanced 911 services.

        1435    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Million Six Hundred Twenty Thousand Seven Hundred Fifty Two Dollars ($1,620,752.00) in the form of a grant for the State FY24 Council on Aging formula allocation, awarded by the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant will fund social and health care services for 115,768 older adults in the City of Boston at $14 per person, according to 2020 Census data from 

        UMass Boston Donahue Institute.

        1436    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Eight Hundred Fifty Thousand Dollars ($850,000.00) in the form of a grant for the FY21 Boston Regional Intelligence Center Earmark, awarded by the MA Executive Office of Public Safety & Security to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund upgrading, expanding, and integrating technology and protocols related to anti terrorism, anti crime, anti gang and emergency response.

        1439    Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Two Hundred Eighty Three Thousand Dollars ($283,000.00) in the form of grant for the Mass Gaming Pao Art Center, awarded by the Massachusetts Gaming Commission to be administered by the Office of Human Services. The grant will fund programming for seniors in the Chinatown neighborhood of Boston.
