COMMUNICATIONS FROM HER HONOR, THE MAYOR:
0893 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of One Million Five Hundred Twenty Five Thousand Three
Hundred Eighty Dollars and Seventy Seven Cents ($1,525,380.77) in the
form of a grant, for the Federal FY23 Nutrition Services Incentive Program,
awarded by the United States Department of Health and Human Services,
passed through the MA Executive Office of Elder Affairs, to be
administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant will fund the Age
Strong Commission’s nutrition program that delivers meals to homes of
older adults and congregate sites in the City of Boston.0894 Message and order for your approval an Order to reduce the FY23
appropriation for the Reserve for Collective Bargaining by Two Hundred
Six Thousand Six Dollars ($206,006.00) to
provide funding for the Boston Public Schools for the FY23 increases
contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the Boston
Public Schools and the Boston School AFSCME Lunch Monitors.
0895 Message and order for a supplemental appropriation Order for the Boston
Public School Department for FY23 in the amount of Two Hundred Six
Thousand Six Dollars ($206,006.00) to cover the FY23 cost items
contained within the collective bargaining agreement between the Boston
Public Schools and the Boston School Lunch Monitors. The terms of the
contracts are September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2023. The major
provisions of the contract include base wage increases of 2%, in December
2020 and 2.5% to be given in September of 2021 and September of 2022.
