Air Pollution Control Commission Notice of Rulemaking

Written comments on the draft of Phase II.b regulations for the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance will be accepted until 12 p.m. on Wednesday, January 18, 2023.

  1. Air Pollution Control Commission Rulemaking

    In accordance with Massachusetts General Laws, Chapter 40A, Section 11, notice is hereby given that the Air Pollution Control Commission is proposing regulations pursuant to the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance, Boston City Code, Ordinances, Section 7-2.2. The Boston Air Pollution Control Commission is proposing regulations on emissions factors, additional compliance mechanisms, and renewable energy purchases under the Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure Ordinance (BERDO).

    A public hearing concerning the revisions will be held on January 25, 2023, at 1 p.m., virtually at  https://us02web.zoom.us/j/86329377111. If you are unable to access the internet, you can call 1-929-205-6099, enter Meeting ID 863 2937 7111 # and use # as your participant ID.

    Translation and sign language interpreters are available upon prior request. Requests for accommodation must be made at least five (5) days prior to the hearing, at the address below or by email at apcc@boston.gov.
