City Council Committee on Government Operations Hearing on Docket #0465 and Docket #0435

Docket #0465, Petition for a Special Law re: An Act Authorizing Additional Licenses for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages to be Drunk on the Premises in Boston.  This matter was referred to the Committee on April 6, 2022.  The sponsors of the docket are Councilors Brian Worrell, Ruthzee Louijeune, and Ricardo Arroyo.

Docket #0435, Petition for a Special Law re:  An Act Authorizing the City of Boston to Grant Four Additional Licenses for the Sale of Alcoholic Beverages to be Drunk on the Specified Premises.  This matter was referred to the Committee on March 30, 2022.  The sponsors of the docket are Councilors Ruthzee Louijeune and Julia Mejia

NOTICE:  The Boston City Council may have a quorum in attendance due to standing committees of the City Council consisting of both voting and non-voting members.  However, members attending this duly posted hearing are participating and deliberating only in conjunction with the business of the standing committee.

Attendance: In accordance with Chapter 22 of the Acts of 2022 modifying certain requirements of the Open Meeting Law and relieving public bodies of certain requirements, including the requirement that public bodies conduct its meetings in a public place that is open and physically accessible to the public, the City Council will be conducting this hearing remotely. This enables the City Council to carry out its responsibilities while ensuring public access to its deliberations through adequate, alternative means. The public may watch this hearing via livestream at boston.gov/city-council-tv or on Xfinity 8/RCN 82/Verizon 964. It will also be re-broadcasted at a later date.
