COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYOR:
0388 Message and order approving appropriations of Nine Million Two Hundred Two Thousand One Hundred Eight-One Dollars ($9,202,181.00) for the purpose of paying for the costs associated with roof and boiler replacement projects at the following schools: Boston Latin School – partial boiler replacement, James F. Condon Elementary School – boiler replacement, John W. McCormack Middle School – roof replacement, Paul A. Dever Elementary School – roof replacement, and the William E. Channing Elementary School – boiler replacement. This includes the payment of all costs incidental or related thereto, and for which the City of Boston may be eligible for a grant from the Massachusetts School Building Authority (“MSBA”), said amount to be expended under the direction of the Public Facilities Department on behalf of the Boston Public Schools.
0389 Message and order approving an acceptance of the provisions of G.L. c.40, Sections 22A, 22B and 22C, as amended by Chapter 218 of the Acts of 2016 -the Municipal Modernization Act. This local option allows municipalities to continue to account for parking receipts separately and to keep receipts reserved for appropriation.
0390 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Thousand Six Hundred Eighty Dollars ($1,680.00) from the Economic Development and Industrial Corporation (EDIC) of Boston for the Property Management Co-Op to be administered by the Property Management Department .

MATTERS RECENTLY HEARD-FOR POSSIBLE ACTION:
0106 Message and order approving a Home Rule Petition to the General Court entitled “Petition for a Special law Re: The Jim Brooks Stabilization Act.”
0341 Message and order approving a supplemental appropriation of Seven Million Seven Hundred Forty-Six Thousand Three Hundred Dollars ($7,746,300.00) to cover the FY17 cost items contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the Boston Patrolmen's Association. The terms of the contracts are July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 and July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020. The major provisions of the contracts include base wage increases of 2% effective the first pay period of July of each fiscal year. The agreement also includes increases to existing Quinn Bill/Education benefits, modified steps beginning in July 2016, and increase to hazardous duty pay beginning in July 2017.
