COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYOR:
0405 Message and order to reduce the FY18 appropriation for the Reserve for Collective Bargaining by Four Million Eight Hundred Twenty Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Eight Dollars ($4,824,768.00) to provide funding for the Police Department for the FY18 increases contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the Boston Police Superior Officers Federation.
0406 Message and order approving a supplemental appropriation of Four Million Eight Hundred Twenty Four Thousand Seven Hundred Sixty Eight Dollars ($4,824,768.00) to cover the FY18 cost items contained in the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the Boston Police Superior Officers Federation. The terms of the contracts are July 1, 2016 through June 30, 2017 and July 1, 2017 through June 30, 2020. The major provisions of the contracts include base wage increases of 2% effective the first pay period of July of each fiscal year. The agreements also include increases to existing Quinn Bill/Education benefits, modified cumulative risk benefits beginning in July 2016 and increases to hazardous duty pay beginning in July 2017.

0408 Message and order approving a supplemental appropriation of Eighty Two Thousand Three Hundred Twenty Three Dollars ($82,323.00) to cover FY18 to cover cost items contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the Boston Police Detectives Benevolent Society-Forensic Group. The terms of the contracts are October 1, 2016 through September 30, 2017 and October 1, 2017 through September 30, 2020. The major provision of the contracts includes base wage increases of 2%, effective the first pay period of January of each fiscal year. The agreements also include other benefits including new specialty differentials beginning in 2018.

0409 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of One Hundred Ninety-Five Thousand Five Hundred Dollar ($195,500.00) in the form of a grant to the Innovation Delivery Team, awarded by the Bloomberg Philanthropies to be administered by the Mayor's Office. The grant will fund the Innovation Team’s mission to address data-driven processes to assess problems, generate responsive new interventions, develop partnerships and deliver measurable results.
0410 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Six Thousand Two Hundred Dollars ($6,200.00) in the form of a grant, privately donated, awarded by Detective Joe Gallant Memorial Foundation to be administered by the Boston Police Department. The grant will fund the purchase of technology for the Cam-Share program at District C-11 ($3,100.00) and support the BPD's School Unit in purchasing student supplies and to support the unit's "Lunch with a Cop" program ($3,100.00).
