COMMUNICATIONS FROM HIS HONOR, THE MAYOR:
0230 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to submit to the Massachusetts School Building Authority (MSBA) Statements of Interest for their Accelerated Repair Program for the following schools: Rafael Hernandez School, Patrick Lyndon, Donald McKay K-8, James Otis, Josiah Quincy ES, Snowden International at Copley and the John D. O'Bryant School of Mathematics and Science. The Statements of Interest describe and explain the deficiencies and priority category for which the City of Boston may be invited to apply to the Massachusetts School Building Authority in the future.
0231 Message and order to reduce the appropriation for the reserve for Collective Bargaining by One Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Seven Dollars ($134,957.00) to provide funding for the Boston Public Schools for the FY18 cost contained with the collective bargaining agreements between the Boston School Committee and the Boston School Police Patrolmen's Association.
0232 Message and order approving a supplemental appropriation of One Hundred Thirty-Four Thousand Nine Hundred Fifty-Seven Dollars ($134,957.00) to cover the FY18 cost items contained with the collective bargaining agreements between the Boston School Committee and the Boston School Patrolmen Association. The terms of the contracts are September 1, 2016 through August 31, 2017 and September 1, 2017 through August 31, 2020. The major provisions of the contracts include base wage increases of 2% in October of each fiscal year. The agreements also contain other benefits including new steps.

0233 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept the amount of Thirty Thousand Dollars ($30,000.00) in the form of a grant for the Organized Crime Drug Enforcement Task Force Program, awarded by the United States Department of Justice to be administered by the Police Department. The grant will fund surveillance vehicle(s) for the Boston Police Department Fugitive Unit.
