Acquisitions
1. Vote to execute an Order of Taking, dated July 29, 2024, to acquire the fee simple interest, inclusive of trees and structures standing upon and affixed thereto, of a parcel containing 44,137 square feet, more or less, of land, now or formerly owned by Alfred Thomas Van Dam, Jr. a/k/a Fred Van Dam, which land is located at Unnumbered (aka “0”) Dale Street in the Hyde Park District of the City of Boston (numbered in the records of the Assessing Department as Parcel 1808198000), and formerly the property of the former Boston and Providence Railroad Corporation further bounded and described according to a plan of survey made by Harry R. Feldman, Inc., Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors, Joseph L. Calabro, Jr., Registered Land Surveyor No. 15998, dated January 18, 1993 and recorded at Suffolk County Registry of Deeds Plan Book 24453, Page 302, said land to be used for the community preservation purposes of providing a park, passive recreation, natural resource conservation, and added public access to the urban wild known as Sherrin Woods;
And to further vote that the supposed owner be awarded a sum of money set against their name as compensation for damages in their estate at 0 Dale Street in the Hyde Park District of the City of Boston by the taking of their interest in the land for the community preservation purposes of providing a park, passive recreation, natural resource conservation, and added public access to the urban wild known as Sherrin Woods.
And to further vote that said park shall be known as the Sherrin Woods Addition.
2. A vote that the Parks and Recreation Commission, on behalf of the City of Boston, for the community preservation purposes of providing a park, passive recreation, natural resource conservation, and added public access to the urban wild known as Sherrin Woods, having taken by eminent domain the following described parcel of land with funding from the Community Preservation Fund appropriated for the acquisition of open space and parkland by the City Council, hereby grants a perpetual conservation restriction in said parcel of land to the Southwest Boston Community Development Corporation in accordance with Section 3 of Chapter 185 of the Acts of 1875, G.L. Chapter 44B, Section 12 (a), and G.L Chapter 184, Sections 31 through 33, having found this grant to be in the public interest, and authorizes the Commissioner of the Parks and Recreation Department to enter into all agreements and documents and to execute any and all instruments as may be necessary to effect said perpetual conservation restriction.
LOCUS: That parcel of land, known as the Sherrin Woods Addition, formerly the property of the former Boston and Providence Railroad Corporation further bounded and described according to a plan of survey made by Harry R. Feldman, Inc., Civil Engineers and Land Surveyors, Joseph L. Calabro, Jr., Registered Land Surveyor No. 15998, dated January 18, 1993 and recorded at Suffolk County Registry of Deeds Plan Book 24453, Page 302.

Demolition and Design Review
1. Vote to approve the conceptual design and demolition management plan for White Stadium as proposed by Boston Public Schools and Boston Unity Soccer Partners, which is sited at 450 Walnut Avenue on Assessing Parcel #1203486001, which is separate from and surrounded by Franklin Park, which is located in the neighborhoods of Roxbury, Dorchester, Mattapan and Jamaica Plain.
