    Advisory Revision

-The district says that we must have advisory in all student's schedule

    • We've added advisory to Monday and Friday's schedule

-The school held an Equity Roundtable Meeting- some staff reported that advisory works great on Monday but by Fridays, students are less likely to engage in advisory

    • We're currently looking to have a longer advisory period at least once a week

-Maybe on the half days (Wednesday) for 40minutes instead of 30mins

-The next step would be to take it to the grade level meetings + student focus group Early Release

    • There's also discussion regarding moving our half day to Friday from Wednesday

-PD will remain on Wednesday Dress Code

The school has been having discussions about the possibility of developing a dress code.

We're not looking to adopt a school uniform policy but to have a dress code that all students follow. Students are wearing inappropriate clothing which is not conclusive to the school's learning environment. Ms. Mickle suggested that they work on a dress code and school-based rules.

Send letters home to parents with this new dress code plan.

Also have conversations with students regarding appropriate clothing Ms. Mickle- Maybe students can host a fashion show to demonstrate what appropriate clothing would look like. Ms. Forbes suggested that she will reach out to Dress for Success.
