New Fire Alarm System and Upgrades at Various Schools
The City of Boston Public Schools (the City), acting by and through its Director of Facilities Management (the awarding authority), invites sealed bids for the above-titled project, subject to the applicable provisions of the law, including, without limitation, M.G.L. c.149 as amended, and by the terms and conditions of the law of the contract documents entitled: “New Fire Alarm System and Upgrades at Barron Center: 515 Hyde Park Avenue, Roslindale, MA Alexander Hamilton School (Bais Yakoov of Boston High): 198 Strathmore Street, Brighton, MA, and Tobin K-8 School: 40 Smith Street, Roxbury, MA.
The City intends to award one (1) contract to the lowest and most responsible bidder.
PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS will be available after noon, April 05, 2023, at the Office of Facilities Management, 1216 Dorchester Avenue, 2nd floor, Boston, MA 02125; no deposit is required. To request electronic copies, send an email to bidderinfo@bostonpublicschools.org.
PRE-BID SITE VIEWING will be held on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, with the following time: 7:00 AM at Hamilton School (Bais Yakoov of Boston High): 198 Strathmore Street, Brighton, MA, at 8:00 AM at Tobin K-8 School: 40 Smith Street, Roxbury, MA and at 9:00 AM at Barron Center: 515 Hyde Park Avenue, Roslindale, MA
GENERAL BIDS shall be submitted to the Awarding Authority, 2nd Floor, 1216 Dorchester Avenue, Boston, MA 02125, before 12:00 PM (Boston time) on Wednesday, May 03, 2023, at which time and place they will be opened and read aloud. Late bids will not be accepted.
The scope of work is detailed in the bid package.
