Raised Bed Gardens and Gardening Education Program – Funding Awards
The City of Boston, acting by and through its Public Facilities Commission by the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Housing (MOH), Director’s Office Division, is seeking proposals for its Raised Bed Gardens and Gardening Education Program Funding Awards.
Grow Boston: Office of Urban Agriculture, which is a part of the Mayor's Office of Housing (MOH), works to increase food production in the City of Boston. MOH will offer funding awards for raised bed gardens and gardening education for garden recipients. These awards are intended to address inequitable access to affordable and healthy food by providing opportunities for Boston residents and communities experiencing food insecurity to grow their own food at home or a community site.
MOH is making a total of up to $180,000 in funding awards available to build at least 300 raised bed gardens and a total of $30,000 for gardening education in response to this RFP. A total of $210,000 is being made available for this program.
The RFP package will be available on April 3, 2023, and can be downloaded by registering at https://www.boston.gov/departments/housing/requests-proposals. If you are unable to access it, please contact the Program Manager with Grow Boston. Find detailed instructions on how to submit RFP responses at the above link.
