COMMUNICATIONS FROM HER HONOR, THE MAYOR:
1625 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of Three Hundred Thousand Dollars ($300,000.00) in the form of a
grant for the FY23 Mass Trails grant, awarded by the MA Department of
Conservation and Recreation to be administered by the Boston
Transportation Department. The grant will fund the enhancement of trails
and trail access in the Dorchester Community.1626 Message and order confirming the appointment of Nakeeda Burns to the
Zoning Commission as a residential organization member for a term
expiring October 26, 2026. -

REPORTS OF COMMITTEES:
1373 The Committee on Government Operations, to which was referred on
August 30, 2023, Docket #1373, an ordinance to support public safety as
the City doubles down on our public health led approach to the crises of
mental health, substance use, and unsheltered homelessness concentrated in
the area of Massachusetts Avenue and Melnea Cass Boulevard, submits a
report recommending that this docket ought to pass in a new draft. -

0410 Petition for a Special Law re: An Act increasing the maximum amount of
fines which may be imposed for violations of ordinances and authorizing
the City of Boston to place municipal charge liens on certain properties in
the City of Boston for nonpayment of any local charges, fees or fines.0153 Order for a hearing regarding biannual review of the Boston Employment
Commission and Boston Residents Jobs Policy.1449 Order for a hearing to review the mental health and wellness resources
available to City of Boston employees during the Covid 19 pandemic and
beyond. -
