COMMUNICATIONS FROM HER HONOR, THE MAYOR:
1276 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of Three Hundred Fifty One Thousand Five Hundred Fifteen
Dollars and Fifty Two Cents ($351,515.52) in the form of a grant for the
FY23 State Elder Lunch Program, awarded by the MA Executive Office of
Elder Affairs to be administered by the Age Strong Commission. The grant
will fund nutrition services for older adults in the City of Boston, at a rate
of $7.39 per meal for up to 311,112 meals.1277 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of Two Hundred Seventy Nine Thousand Three Hundred Three
Dollars ($279,303.00) in the form of a grant, for the FY24 DMH CIT TTAC
Grant, awarded by the MA Department of Mental Health to be administered
by the Police Department. The grant will fund the implementation of a
40 hour Crisis Intervention Team (CIT) training for officers under the
umbrella of the BPD Street Outreach Unit.
1278 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of One Hundred Eighty Three Thousand Dollars ($183,000.00) in
the form of a grant, for the FY24 DMH Training Grant, awarded by the MA
Department of Mental Health to be administered by the Police Department.
The grant will fund overtime cost to backfill Crisis Intervention Team
training and other mental health training for officers.1279 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of One Hundred Seven Thousand Two Hundred Twenty Dollars
($107,220.00) in the form of a grant, for the FY24 DMH Co Response
Grant, awarded by the MA Department of Mental Health to be administered
by the Police Department. The grant will fund a full time forensic peer
specialist/recovery coach through BEST and provide training to officers.1280 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of One Hundred Thousand Dollars ($100,000.00) in the form of a
grant, for the Recycling Dividends Program 22, awarded by the MA
Executive Office of Energy and Environmental Affairs to be administered
by the Public Works Department. The grant will fund payments to
municipalities that have implemented specific programs and policies proven
to maximize reuse, recycling and waste reduction.1281 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of Ninety Thousand Dollars ($90,000.00) in the form of a grant for
the FY24 Local Consumer Aid Fund, awarded by the MA Attorney
General's Office to be administered by the Consumer Affairs & Licensing
Department. The grant will fund staff cost and operational expenses.1282 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend a
donation in the amount of Eighty Thousand Dollars ($80,000.00) awarded
by the Boys and Girls Club of Dorchester, to be administered by the Boston
Park and Recreation Department. The donation will support the purchase of
playground equipment for the park on Deer Street in Dorchester.1283 Message and order for the confirmation of the appointment of Raheem
