COMMUNICATIONS FROM HER HONOR, THE MAYOR:
1133 Message and order for your approval, an order to reduce the FY23
appropriation for the Reserve for Collective Bargaining by One Million
Seven Hundred Five Thousand One Hundred Forty Two Dollars
($1,705,142.00) to provide funding for the Boston Public Schools for the
FY23 increases contained within the collective bargaining agreement
between the Boston Public Schools and the Boston Association of School
Administration and Supervisors (BASAS).
Filed in the Office of the City Clerk on June 26, 2023.1134 Message and order for your approval a supplemental Order for the Boston
Public Schools Department for FY23 in the amount of One Million Seven
Hundred Five Thousand One Hundred Forty Two Dollars ($1,705,142.00)
to cover the FY23 cost contained within the collective bargaining
agreement between the Boston Public Schools and the Boston Association
of Schools and Supervisors (BASAS). The terms of the contracts are
September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2022 and September 1, 2022 to
August 31, 2024.The major provisions of the contracts include base wage
increases of 2%, 2.5%, 2.5% and 2.5%, to be given in September of each
fiscal year of the contract term, as well as other cost items including
inclusion reform implementation.
1135 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the
amount of Fifteen Thousand Dollars ($15,000.00) in the form of a grant, a
charitable donation, awarded from the Frank and Elizabeth Simoni
Foundation, Inc. to be administered by the Police Department. The grant
will fund support for the work of the Homicide Unit.

1136 Communication was received from the Mayor providing a list of the Fiscal
2023 reallocations prior to April 15, 2023.1137 Notice was received from Councilor Louijeune of her absence from the
June 23, 2023 Special City Council Meeting.1138 Notice was received from the City Clerk in accordance with Chapter 6 of
the Ordinances of 1979 re: action taken by the Mayor on papers acted upon
by the City Council at its meeting of June 14, 2023.1139 Communication was received from Michael Nichols, President, Downtown
Boston Business Improvement District of their renewal for another five
years.1140 The Constable Bonds of Holsen Borgella, Leonard Brown, Meaka, Brown, Christopher Castagna, Andrew Cherry,
Melvin Johnson, Cynthia Martinez, Evangeline Maxwell Davis, Sherea
McLaughlin and Julia Scott have been duly approved by the
Collector Treasurer were received. -
REPORTS OF COMMITTEES:
0822 The Committee on Environmental Justice, Resiliency and Parks, to which
was referred on April 12, 2023, Docket #0822 Message and order for the
confirmation of the appointment of Matt O'Malley, as a member of the
Building Emissions Reduction and Disclosure (BERDO) Review Board for
a term expiring April 24, 2026, submits a report recommending that the
report ought to pass. -
