Residential Mattress Recycling
The City of Boston, acting by its Commissioner of Public Works (Official), is seeking information from interested parties for a potential large-scale program that would recycle or reuse residential mattresses, diverting them from landfill or incineration.
Respondents should focus on how their recommendations would divert mattresses from the waste stream, create cost savings for the City, decrease environmental impacts, and support the City’s goals to reduce 80% of its waste by 2035.
Documents may be obtained at the Public Works Contract Office, Room 714, City Hall Boston, MA, commencing at 9:00 am on Monday May 9, 2022.
All sealed RFI Responses shall be filed not later than FRIDAY, JULY 15, 2022 at 2:00 PM at the office of the Official Public Works Department, Room 714, City Hall Boston, MA. All responses must be from responders of record (those who have picked up official documents) on file in Room 714, City Hall, Boston.
