The City of Boston acting by and through its Public Facilities Commission by the Director of the Mayor’s Office of Housing, Neighborhood Housing Development Division sells tax foreclosed or surplus municipal real property to buyers who agree to invest in the rehabilitation of the property. Residential, commercial, industrial, and institutional land and buildings are included in this program.
This Request for Proposals (RFP) is to solicit proposals from developers in collaboration with qualified nonprofit organizations or other entities for development of these parcels as residential and community garden. The Grassroots Open Space Program makes land available specifically for the development of open space projects such as community gardens, urban gardens, urban farms and passive open space.
This Property is being offered “As Is” without warrant of any kind, express or implied.
The Grassroots Open Space Program has up to $100,000 in funding available for the creation of the open space component of this project. If concerned about the Property condition, legal or physical access and the maintenance thereof, property lines or boundaries or any other matter affecting the Property, prospective developers should investigate and conduct whatever due diligence and inspection they deem necessary.
The Property: 30 Mildred Avenue, approximately 3,542 square feet, 32 Mildred Avenue, approximately 3,542 square feet, 34 Mildred Avenue, approximately 3,523 square feet, 36 Mildred Avenue, approximately 3,526 square feet. Total approximately 14,133 square feet. An optional applicant conference will be held on June 1st 2022, from 3:00 – 4:00pm.
