COMMUNICATIONS FROM HER HONOR, THE MAYOR:

0861 Message disapproving an Ordinance Amending City of Boston Code, Ordinances, Chapter XV, Section X and Establishing the Boston Fair Chance Act (Docket #0259), passed by the City Council on June 29, 2022. Recommending that the City Council pass a new draft based on Docket #0259 with some technical revisions.

0862 Message and order for your approval an Order to reduce the FY22 appropriation for the Reserve for Collective Bargaining by One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand One Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($145,115.00) to provide funding for the Boston Police Department for the FY22 increases contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the Boston Police School Traffic Supervisors Association, Inc. (BPSTSA).

0863 Message and order for a supplemental appropriation Order for the Boston Police Department for FY22 in the amount of One Hundred Forty-Five Thousand One Hundred Fifteen Dollars ($145,115.00) to cover the FY22 cost contained within the collective bargaining agreements between the City of Boston and the Boston Police School Traffic Supervisors Association, Inc. (BPSTSA). The terms of the contracts are September 1, 2020 through August 31, 2023. The major provisions of the contract includes base wage increases of 2%, 1.5% and 2%, to be given in September of each fiscal year of the contract term.

0866 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Seventy Five Thousand Dollars ($75,000.00) in the form of a grant for the FY23 Local Consumer Program, awarded by the MA Attorney General to be administered by Consumer Affairs and Licensing. The grant will fund staff cost and operational expenses.

0867 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston Transportation Department ( the "Department") to accept and expend the donation of advertising space from the Dorchester Reporter valued at Eleven Thousand Dollars ($11,000.00). The advertising space is being donated to the Department to advertise three open streets events being sponsored by the City of Boston: Centre Street on July 10th, Blue Hill Avenue on August 6th and Dorchester Avenue on September 24th.

0618 Resolution calling for an end to the U.S. embargo against Cuba and opening up of new travel and collaborative cultural, medical and academic opportunities between the two countries.

0503 Message and order authorizing the City of Boston to accept and expend the amount of Three Hundred Forty Nine Million Five Hundred Thousand Dollars ($349,500,000.00) in the form of a grant, awarded by the United States Department of Treasury, to be administered by the City of Boston’s Chief Financial Officer/Collector Treasurer. This grant payment is made from the Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund (SLFRF) in the Treasury of the United States established by Section 9901 of the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021 (ARPA). Pursuant to the requirements of the ARPA, the grant payment would fund COVID-19 response and recovery efforts and accelerate a Green New Deal for Boston through

once-in-a-generation, transformative investments that address the systemic health and economic challenges in the areas of affordable housing, economic opportunity and inclusion, behavioral health, climate and mobility, arts and culture and early childhood.

THOUSAND Dollars ($17,700,000.00) in the form of a grant, awarded by the United States Department of the Treasury to be administered by the City of Boston's Chief Financial Officer/Collector Treasurer. Pursuant to the requirements of ARPA, the grant will fund COVID-19 response and recovery efforts.
