RESEARCH COLLECTION CONSULTANT
The City of Boston, acting by the Board of Trustees in charge of the Library Department of the City of Boston, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, hereby invites requests for proposals for the project listed above. Proposals will be solicited from vendors through the City of Boston’s Supplier Portal: boston.gov/departments/procurement.
All quotes for this project are subject to all applicable provisions of law and in accordance with the terms and provisions of the contract documents entitled: Research Collection Consultant.
SCOPE OF WORK includes: The project manager will be responsible for developing detailed project plans, identifying and overseeing vendors, leading coordination efforts, managing the project schedules, and ensuring completion of the cleaning, inventory, electronic catalogue and storage & patron retrieval plan for a sub-collection (approximately 150,000 volumes) of the Founding Research Collection.
Proposals shall be due or submitted before 1:00 P.M., Boston time, Tuesday, November 23, 2021 and opened forthwith. The Awarding Authority reserves the right to waive any informality, or to reject any and all proposals, if it be in the public interest to do so.
The Request for Proposal will be available on or about Tuesday, October 12, 2021.
A walk through will be on Tuesday, October 26, 2021, 9:30am Boston time, meeting at the Copley Library, 700 Boylston St, Boston, MA. The walk through is highly suggested but not mandatory, and preregistration is required. Please email business@bpl.org with your RSVP by Monday, October 25, 2021 at noon.
