On July 3, 2024, Governor Maura Healey approved Home Rule Petition H.4076, expanding the Historic Beacon Hill District's boundaries. Sponsored by State Representative Jay Livingstone, this petition was driven by Beacon Hill residents who sought to extend the district's northern boundary from 40 feet south of Cambridge Street to the curb. This adjustment allows the Commission to review any proposed changes to buildings on the south side of Cambridge Street.

We invite you to join us on September 26, 2024, either online or in person, for a discussion about the district's rules and regulations. While the focus will be on Cambridge Street, all Beacon Hill residents are encouraged to attend. The meeting will cover:

• Commissioner Members: Learn about the Commission's members and their decision-making process. 
• Point of Contact: Find out who to reach for further questions.
• Areas of Commission Purview: Understand what types of work the Commission reviews.
• Resources: Discover what information is available to applicants.
