Mayor Walsh's Movie Night - 'Honey, I Shrunk The Kids'

Mayor Martin J. Walsh's Movie Nights bring the movie theater experience to a park near you.

September 8, 2017
Event Date2017-09-08T19:30:00

Join us under the stars in Boston Parks to enjoy a movie and popcorn. This series is presented by the Boston Parks and Recreation Department and Northeastern University, in partnership with the Mayor's Office of Tourism, Sports and Entertainment. This movie night will feature the movie, "Honey, I Shrunk The Kids."

About 'Honey, I Shrunk The Kids'

When kids sneak into inventor Wayne Szalinski's (Rick Moranis) upstairs lab to retrieve an errant baseball, his experimental shrink ray miniaturizes them. When Szalinski returns home, he destroys the device — which he thinks is a failure — and dumps it in the trash, throwing out the kids along with it. The four children, now 1/4-inch tall, must survive the journey back to the house through a yard where sprinklers bring treacherous storms and garden-variety ants stampede like elephants.
