Project Goals

The listed parcels, representing a portion of the overall Highland Park inventory, are the subject of a multiyear planning process between NHD/REMS and the Highland Park Project Review Committee to determine best use. in early 2017 DND and HPPRC agreed on recommended uses, culminating in a community charrette in March to review our planning work and recommendations. The charrette was positive and reaffirmed a majority of our land use recommendations.
Together with the HPPRC we are working to RFP sites in spring/summer 2017, fall/winter 2017 and 2018. The parcels in this record are slated for late 2017 and 2018 action.

This is an undeveloped lot owned by the City of Boston’s Department of Neighborhood Development.

The Department of Neighborhood Development acquires surplus and foreclosed property and is responsible for managing this real estate. We work to create housing and open space by making that land available to Bostonians over time through a public Request for Proposals process. This parcel of land is not yet planned for development, but stay tuned!
