Project Goals
One parcel in residential neighborhood totaling 6,252 sq ft and zoned for 2F-5000. This parcel is undevelopable because of density concerns that another house would be too tight in this neighborhood in between these two abutters. The parcel is currently fenced in next to the abutter. The abutting property is reasonably assesed.
The Department of Neighborhood Development acquires surplus and foreclosed property and is responsible for managing this real estate. We work to create housing and open space by making that land available to Bostonians over time through a public Request for Proposals process. This parcel of land is not yet planned for development, but stay tuned!
