Research partners on the history and legacies of slavery in the City of Boston
The City of Boston, acting through the Office of Equity and Inclusion, seeks proposals from interested historical research institutions, organizations, teams, and/or individual partners to conduct a comprehensive historical inquiry and produce a report on the City of Boston’s role in and historical ties to the slave trade and the institution and legacies of slavery.

The Request for Proposals (“RFP”) package will be available beginning Monday, September 25, 2023, through the City’s Supplier Portal (boston.gov/Procurement). Completed proposals. must be submitted via the City’s Supplier Portal or via hard copy on or before Monday, November 13, 2023, no later than 3:00PM.
