The City of Boston (“The City”), acting through its Director of the Department of Neighborhood Development (“DND”), hereby invites proposals from interested and qualified contractors (“Offerors”) to provide lead paint risk assessments and paint testing for its Boston Home Center Division on an as needed basis.
The selected Offeror will be responsible for providing risk assessment and lead paint inspection services in the City of Boston as described in the Purchase Description (Scope of Services).
The contract term shall be March 15, 2021 through February 29, 2023, subject to the availability of sufficient appropriation for the subsequent years.
The City reserves the right to exercise an option to renew the contract awarded for an additional one-year period, from March 1, 2023 through February 29, 2024 subject to the availability of sufficient appropriation for that subsequent year, upon all the same terms, including the terms as to price, as the first twenty-four month period. The City shall retain sole discretion in exercising the option and no exercise of the option shall be subject to agreement or acceptance by the contractor.
The Request for Proposals (“RFP”) package will be available beginning February 8, 2021, 9:00 AM from the City’s purchasing website, Supplier Portal (www.boston.gov/procurement), the City’s online process for purchasing, bidding, contracting, vendor registration and payment.

Completed proposal forms must be submitted, as specified, *electronically by February 23, 2021, no later than 4:00 PM.
This contract is subject to the Community Development Block Grant Terms and Conditions, and the terms of the Lead-Based Paint Hazard Control Grant(s).
The City shall cancel the contract if the funds are not appropriated or otherwise made unavailable to support continuation of performance. The contract is subject to the approval of the Public Facilities Commission and will be awarded by the Director of the Department of Neighborhood Development (The Official.
