The City of Boston, acting by the Board of Trustees in charge of the Library Department of the City of Boston, hereinafter referred to as the Awarding Authority, invites sealed Bids for performance of the work generally described above, and particularly set forth in the Invitation for Bid , which may be obtained from the City's Purchasing Website and Supplier Portal: www.cityofboston.gov/procurement , commencing at 1:00 PM,, Monday, March 30, 2020.



Invitation for Bids shall be available until the time of the IFB opening.

All bids shall be submitted no later than 1:00 PM (ET), Monday, April 27, 2020 at 1:00 PM, on the City's Purchasing Website and Supplier Portal, at which time, all bids received will be publicly opened forthwith and read aloud, either virtually or at the Boston Public Library, Business Office, Room 332, 700 Boylston Street, Boston, Massachusetts, 02116.  

The attention of all bidders is directed to the provisions of the Invitation for Bid and contract documents, specifically to 

the requirements for insurance and performance bonds as may be applicable. 



The maximum time for bid acceptance by the City after the opening of bids shall be ninety (90) days.



The attention of all bidders is specifically directed to the equal opportunity section of the bid specification and contract and the obligations of the contractor to take affirmative action in connection with employment practices throughout the period of this contract.

The City and Awarding Authority reserve the right to reject any or all bids, or any item or items thereof.



The award of any contract shall be subject to the approval of the Mayor of the City of Boston and the Board of Trustees in 

charge of the Library Department of the City of Boston.
